Belarus, Russia to step up investment, innovation cooperation
MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have reached an agreement to step up investment and innovation cooperation, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich told the press after the session of the Union State Council of Ministers on 18 July.
“We have decided to step up investment and innovation cooperation,” said the Prime Minister. In his words, the two countries will take care of national security in addition to new breakthrough technologies. “Decisions within the framework of the Union State rely on relevant appropriations of the Union State budget. Suffice it to say that the programs we have approved are worth $0.5 billion,” he added.
The official said the talks had been productive, saturated and resultative for the future development of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
